Special World Wide WT campaign in September 2023. So special they cannot even publish a new magazine, they will be using the Public WT No. 2 from 2020.
I think they have long since run out of ideas.

this is a new video posted by the exjw critical thinkers jt & lady cee:.

i had a hunch that wt was going to do so, but this is happening quite soon.
At my age there is no way I am returning to meetings at the KH. I'm sure many more of a similar age to me in the congregation feel the same way. Getting there is difficult, there is little parking nearby, it's expensive and Public Transport takes an age.

.....you imperfect shower!!!.
w74 2/1 p. 96 questions from readers - “in the case of those who will rule with jesus christ, jehovah god...“declares them righteous” and thus views them as being perfect, without sin, while yet in the flesh on earth.” (rom.
8:33) .
This WT is from 1974. Two members of the GB at that time were Chitty and Greenlees Had they been declared righteous, perfect and without sin by God? If so he really got it wrong with that pair!

isn’t it about time they released the report for the service year?
or have they stopped publishing it?
did they released selected figures at the annual meeting as they usually do, such as the memorial attendance or record number of pioneers?
I am sure there are a lot of JWs in their 30s - 50s who are only still there for the sake of parents.
Very true, however, I am sure there are a lot of JW's in their 70's to 80's who are only in still for the sake of their children and ultimately themselves. Nobody wants to be old and infirm without the support of their family. Too late to leave, insufficient advantages compared to the status quo.

regular pioneers: 600 per year, 50 on average per month.auxiliary pioneers: 30 hours per monthauxiliary pioneers in march and april: fee reduced to 15 hours.
Ron, I busted a gut and more , 1200 hours for 20 years.
It wasn't just the number of hours, it was the way they were earned! My wife pioneered for years in the 1960's and 70's, there was no standing around with a witness trolley for hours on end drinking Costa and talking to ones mates. There was no phone witnessing, letter writing. It was all D2D, Back Calls and Studies. Literature had to be paid for so it was never dumped in the local washeteria or doctor's waiting rooms. She always aimed for about 115 hours to allow for holidays, assemblies, illness etc. The annual hour requirement had to be met to continue as a pioneer.

i went back into this forum a little ways and found quite a bit of discussion on the walsh (1954) for those newly out or those who don't know of what i write, you should really check it out.
anyone who is a jw or studying with jw should see material from this trial.
my take away...the printed materials of the wtbts were to believed over the bible and if you didn't believe the wt teachings over the bible, ( even though they admit to false prophesy )you would be disfellowshipped and deserving of death.
The first I heard of the Walsh trial was when we studied the book "Jehovah's Witnesses in the Divine Purpose (1959)". This would be in the early 1960's I guess. I never read anything about it in the press, despite it being held in Great Britain and the case reached the House of Lords. So all I knew was the very selective account in that publication.
It wasn't until I joined this site some 12 years ago that I read the details of it including the transcript. If only we had the internet back then!

were you ever on a congregation picnic?
i was on several occasions.. the arrangements were often announced from the platform after the closing song and prayer by the last elder up on the platform.. sometimes it was included in the service meeting announcements as "on saturday we're meeting at 10.00am at the kingdom hall for field service, and after field service for anyone who wishes, especially for the younger ones, we will be having a congregation picnic meeting at the beach carpark on seaview road.".
well, according to the new elders manual you won't be hearing those words again.
Nowadays it's all done on WhatsApp.

Thank you very much for that.
One small detail I noticed is that to use the HLC you ask an elder for the contact information and then contact the HLC yourself. Previously all contact was made via the elder. At least that is how it was some years ago when I was in hospital.
